This policy explains what Match Kundli (www.matchkundli.com) does with information when you use the Kundli matching tool, the horoscope pages, the Hindu calendar and the guides.
The short version
- Your birth details are not stored. They are used once to calculate planetary positions and then discarded.
- There are no accounts, and we do not ask for your email address, phone number or any identity details.
- Cookies for statistics and for Google ads are optional and stay off until you choose. You can change your mind at any time.
Birth details and names
To calculate a match, your browser sends each person’s date and time of birth and the coordinates of the birthplace to our calculation function, which returns the Moon’s position, the Ascendant and the position of Mars. The function does not write these details to a database or a log file, and it discards them as soon as the response is sent, which is why a refresh clears the result. Names you type are never sent to our server: they stay in your browser and only label the report. The “Download as PDF” button uses your browser’s own print dialog, so the report is not uploaded anywhere.
Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs of requests (such as the time, the address of the page and your IP address) for running and securing the service. The birth details travel in the body of the request, not in the address, and are not part of those logs.
Birthplace lookup
When you type a birthplace, your browser sends the text directly to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service to find its coordinates. That service sees the text and your IP address under its own privacy policy; we do not control or receive that request.
Cookies and similar technologies
Everything optional is switched off until you choose. A small banner offers Accept all, Reject all or a choice by category, and the “Cookie settings” link in the footer reopens it.

Before you choose, Google’s tags run in a restricted mode that sets no analytics or advertising cookies. In that mode Google Analytics may still receive basic, cookie-free signals about a page view. You can also control cookies in your browser settings, and deleting them removes what has been set.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Some guide pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads, if they appear, are labelled and sit between sections of a guide; they do not appear in the Kundli matching tool, the calendar, the horoscope pages or the legal pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site and to other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show you ads based on those visits.
To opt out of personalised advertising, you can:
- visit Google Ads Settings and switch personalised ads off;
- opt out of other vendors’ cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or optout.networkadvertising.org;
- choose Reject all, or leave Advertising unticked, in our cookie settings.
You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, and ads are not requested without it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall traffic: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what kind of device they use. We do not use it to identify individuals, and it never receives birth details or names. Analytics runs fully only if you accept statistics; you can also install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Who else handles data
- Vercel hosts the site and the calculation function.
- OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service looks up birthplaces, as described above.
- Google provides Analytics and AdSense, only under the choices described above.
We do not sell personal information. These providers may process data in countries other than your own.
How long data is kept

Children’s privacy
Match Kundli is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights and choices
Because we hold no account and keep no birth details, there is very little to access or erase. You can change your cookie choices at any time, and you can ask us what we hold, ask for a correction or deletion, or object to processing by writing to us. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, and if a change affects your cookie choices we will ask again.
